The country boasts the highest populations of both elephants and African Wild dogs. The activities on offer are just as diverse; from dugout canoe trips, game drives and walking safaris. For keen birders, the Okavango Delta is a great place to search for rarities such as the Pel’s fishing owl.

This region also offers great opportunities for Sable antelopes; often elusive in other areas. For birders, Zambia also offers opportunities to find Southern crowned cranes.

Namibia
The land of contrasts; from the desert to the sea. These offer breath-taking landscapes throughout the major destinations. These include Sossusvlei dunes, Damaraland, the Palmwag region as well as Skeleton coast. Besides landscape, wildlife photography is quite unique here. Desert-adapted lions and elephants offer unique photographic opportunities due their unique habitat and habits. The desert environment offers great opportunities to find desert-animals such as the Oryx and springbok. Namibia has the highest population of free-ranging black rhinos. These are found in unique destinations such as Damaraland and the iconic Etosha National Park. Birding is quite unique due to a number of endemic species. These include the Dune Lark, Benguela long-billed lark and the Damara Hornbill. Destinations here are accessed by game drives from various lodges.
East Africa
This block encompasses Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda. The landscapes quite varied, as are the activities on offer. The Serengeti and the Masai Mara offer incredible wildlife experiences by game drives. The wildebeest migration is truly a spectacle to be experienced. Depending on the time of the year, one could watch this spectacle unfold and even experience the coveted river crossings where large crocodiles line up to hunt the antelopes as they cross. Depending on budget, one could follow the migration from various established camps or on more rustic mobile camps. Rwanda and Uganda offer unparalleled primate experience. Top of the list are the mountain gorillas. These are found in both countries and there are several lodges that will offer the hiking experience to see the gorillas. Besides these, there are several other primates that may not be found elsewhere. These include golden monkeys, various colobus species among others. For keen birders, east Africa is a paradise, with over a thousand species. Some of the more elusive ones include the African Shoebill and the Green-breasted pitta.
